The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada has just taken the provincial government of Ontario, Canada, to task — for suppressing info regarding the number of abortions in the medical system here. This violates the Freedom of Information Act, but but was later permitted by a sneak-in clause in the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act (Bill 122) — an amendment to the Freedom of Information Act. It doesn't matter which side of the abortion issue a citizen is on, since both Pro-Choice (pro-abortion) and Anti-Abortion (anti-choice) have an interest in knowing what's going on the hospitals — and, I dare add, in the cash-and-abort clinics as well. One doesn't have to invade any individual woman's privacy for the stats to be aggregated, say, yearly — so that we all can know just what is happening in regard these matters, not just as taxpayers, but also simply as concerned citizens and residents of the province.
